Historically, estate planning has been directed toward giving instructions on what happens to your property upon your death.  But what if you are mentally incapable for a lengthy period before you die?  Who will look after your property and make decisions on your health care?

An Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) is a written document in which you can appoint a person to act as your representative (Attorney) to look after your property if you are unable to make your own decisions on your property or finances.

A Personal Directive (PD) is a written document in which you can appoint a person to act as your Health Care Agent to look after your health care if you are unable to make your own decisions on your health care.

We prepare EPA's and PD's for both simple and complicated situations.  These documents will help minimize both the financial and emotional cost of mental incapacitation if it should occur.  Our lawyers and staff working in this challenging area are very experienced and discreet.  If you cannot come to our office for an appointment we will come to your home or other place convenient to you.
